If you enjoyed Al Marantz's two releases for the legendary and now defunct(?) label OSR, you will, no doubt, enjoy Green Tobacco Hair as well. It continues on the same sonic trajectory but expands the sound even more. Catchy melodies seem to effortlessly glide along, and will stick with you for days. Gone are the Casio tones, replaced with a more jangly guitar vibe, hitting at as close to a straight forward pop sound that Marantz has conjured up, and this may be his best work yet. Enjoy this one, it's a doozy.
